Getting a job with CodeSignal!
I use CodeSignal in order to prep for interviews within the software engineering field. This product helps to prep for tech interviews while simultaneously allowing companies to pre-screen candidates in an effective manner. CodeSignal gauges the technical competencies of candidates by asking them four tech questions and then deriving a score based on a multitude of factors like how fast they solve the question and how many test cases they pass etc. This score will then be sent to companies along with a report which is in theory supposed to identify whether candidates are competent enough technically to be moved into the next round. As it pertains to my use case, I was looking for software engineering internships in the summer, and tons of companies used this platform to screen candidates so whether I wanted to or not, it was in my best interest to practice and become familiar with the platform as much as possible.
- CodeSignal is very effective at giving companies a third party way to efficiently screen candidates before moving them into their next rounds of interviewing
- CodeSignal is effective at scoring and judging a candidate's technical competence with a reasonable margin of error
- CodeSignal has a great support team that responds very quickly and handles issues adeptly
- There have been some loopholes identified in terms of approaching the assessments, which can potentially compromise the integrity of the assessment.
- CodeSignal's biggest problem for me is that you can't take an assessment again. You have to wait 14 days. This is tough because if you do a test for one company and you don't like your score, your only options are to send the bad score or wait to take another test which can be problematic due to the strict deadlines some companies impose.
- CodeSignal could use a better way to prepare for the assessments within the website. Maybe like a 'module' on how to approach the test etc. This is because CodeSignal, while providing similar questions like the Leetcode website or the like, will occasionally ask questions that are far different from what is typical in tech interviewing websites.

Good but will benefit from continued improvement
As an aspiring software engineer, I have used CodeSignal over the past several months to help me prepare for technical interviews which evaluate my technical problem-solving skills. I have also used CodeSignal to complete technical challenges for various companies to help them make decisions regarding my candidacy. In particular, I have utilized the "interview practice" section extensively to prepare for particular areas where I require improvement.
- Variety of questions separated reasonably into different categories.
- Organized and useful courses.
- Clean and easy-to-use online code editor.
- CodeSignal homepage can be difficult to use; the "recommended next task" isn't always useful or optimal.
- A hidden dropdown menu underneath the brand logo can be hard to find; I had difficulty finding the "interview practice" button. Would be preferred to keep it on the top bar where "my profile", "test center" etc are.
- I don't believe that the CodeSignal currency is useful; it seems to be an unnecessary distraction.

An Opportunity to Grow Yourself
I have been using CodeSignal for almost 1 year. This is a great way to test your problem-solving and algorithm implementation skills. I started using CodeSignal when I applied for an internship and have been using it ever since. In addition to regular exams, we also offer algorithmic and data structure-based questions and data science modules. The coding environment is so stable and intuitive that most people can understand it without any problems. Numerous exercises to help improve your algorithm and data structure skills. The final assessment helps candidates track their progress by identifying their strengths and weaknesses. My coding abilities have vastly increased and continue to assist me in improving. It smooths down the screening process, and because the administered appraisals are verified by CodeSignal, the results of the evaluations are guaranteed to be accurate. Because of their verifiable experience, more people can be hired.

Excellent Tool for Improving Coding Skills
Out of hundreds of people who apply to work at our company, CodeSignal assists us in identifying the best candidates. As far as I'm aware, it offers two types of examinations: general coding evaluations and data science assessments. We know the candidate's scores are legitimate because they are proctored and confirmed. In short, it saves time because we just have to interview a smaller number of individuals.
- The test cases are quite well-written, and the grade we earn as a result of them is very fair. Users can use a unit testing tool to perform their own unit testing, allowing them to double-check their code before submitting it.

- The online evaluation option is an excellent approach to assess candidates.
- Simple UI for Simple Operations
- There is no specific answer for the technical evaluation round. If I can't answer the question during this time, I won't be able to find a solution. A hint generator can be used to solve the problem and learn how to solve it at the end of the task.
- I think the problem selection is a little haphazard; in a coding exam, the activities should be picked such that they can be completed within the time limit.
- More interview question samples are needed.

Trustworthy and Reliable product. Filter out candidates.
We receive multiple applications for a job position. We use it for the first round of interviews to filter out the applications received. It helps us to get good engineers for our requirements. If we don't use CodeSignal we have to manually go through the candidates and would require to have one round to identify or shortlist the candidates for further interview processes.

CodeSignal for candidate hiring
I used it to give online assessments during my applications to various companies. The product serves as a great way to assess candidates and their problem-solving skills and in addition to that also employs proctoring services during the time of the assessment. This helps to automate the first few levels of the candidate selection process which eases the need for manpower during these stages. I believe it is a great assessment tool that helps a company understand more about the candidate using various question-answer formats and puzzles to solve.
- Allows a candidate to showcase his/her problem-solving skills. This could be used to understand more about the candidate while also quickening the company's hiring process.
- Create questions and surveys to better understand a candidate. It gives an opportunity for the company to design various questions according to their requirements.
- Provides a wholesome environment for test-taking and monitoring. CodeSignal provides various proctoring methods as well as the interface allows the candidate to have a smooth experience while taking an online assessment.
- Easy to navigate with a smooth and simple interface. While taking an assessment, navigating through CodeSignal's interface is very smooth and comfortable, leaving the test taker to focus solely on taking the assessment.

The organization primarily works on the data side dealing with big data. Typical assessment platforms are not sufficient in judging the skills in areas of data or in other areas as development or full-stack. I feel CodeSignal is a complete package that supports Jupyter Notebook integrations and makes it easy to test shell scripts knowledge, as it provides a Linux environment.

I use CodeSignal as a student to take assessments for companies. The tests are standardized and proctored, and allow me to show off my skills in computer science against other students in a similar position as me. The platform is easy to use and understand, and very user-friendly. When I take a coding assessment, it is easy to see everything I need and get started coding right away.

I have used CodeSignal for the Coding Assessment i.e the first round in the interview process. CodeSignal helps to filter out people for the next round of interviews. The organization has limited scope to conduct 1:1 interviews with the candidates so it is better to send the Online Assessment through CodeSignal to filter out potential candidates for the 1:1 interviews.
- Creating questions for the Online Assessment.
- Scoring based on the Passed TestCases.
- Providing detail analysis of the Test : Time, Positives, Area of Improvements, etc.
- The scoring is confusing. It would be great if the scoring is transparent.
